pi heads, how to tell

Default pi heads, how to tell

my neighbor has a 96 gt. we put long tubes on it and off road pipe. while we were doing this i noticed she had an alluminum crossover on her intake manifold. made her happy thatshe has a pi intake. her bf asked me today how do you tell if they are pi heads with out taking htem off?

It's probably the new style. Ford had a recall and the NPI intake manifold came with an aluminum crossover.

so your saying even tho her intake looks exactly like mine its a npi? and im askin how do you tell about the heads.

Yeah. My NPI intake manifold was the redesigned style. I'm using the crossover from my old intake on my PI intake with my PI swap... The heads arestamped. I think that you're going to have to pull a valve cover off to look inside the head.
