Are those gear kits from american muscle any good?

Says it includes the gears, oil, and the calibrator. If it works as well as a tuner, id prolly just buy this and save the few hundred.

thats what my friend wound up spendin to get his gears. the shop wanted 300 in labor also.

Brand new tuner is actually $379.00... gears around 150-200 bucks, install another 200 or so... the tuner will help you out and actually help you with some power... you can also turn off your O2 sensors if you want to get an o/r midpipe... there are so many things you can do. It's just an overall good thing to have, especially if you plan on modding your car more in the future.. you'll have to get one in the future anyway...
Also, it has this neat little feature on it... you can set governers and revlimiters and what not if you ever go valet, or someone needs to drive your car for you... My friend and the dealership did ask me what was wrong, with why they couldn't go over 50mph and not over 3500rpms... lol
