I think a custom chip like MD said will fix it. Thats how mine is working. I bought a chip from Joe.

your year, yes a speedo gear, newer auto's have to have a chip and the newer 5sp's can use a chip or a speedcal

4.30 is gonna be a nuts gear off the line, with the right converter. You're gonna need a tire. That gear, a converter, and a tire will be a hell of a diff at the track, say goodbye to highway cruises though.
