Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a 01 GT with 65,000 miles on it. For some reason in the last week I have notice a slight hesitation when I get on it. I was wondering if you think I need a tune up or is it just bad gas? Hell at $3.15 a gal it should be jet fuel:&gt I bought the car with 40,000 so I don't know if it has ever had a tune or not.

Isyour carautomatic? IF so, my mom has a 02 GT with the same problem. You can stomp it to the floor, and like two seconds later it will finally drop gears and go.

Do you have traction control on? If so it may be that kicking in.

first thing i would is change the fuel filter since it's such a cheap fix, if that doesn't cure it swap the plugs out for some fresh ones because i'm sure you still have the originalones

yeah i'd definitely check the fuel filter. my mom's stang was doing that too and yesterday i changed the filter. runs perfect now.
