A new tranny that has some kinda aftermarket torque converter, shift solenoid, and t.c.c. solenoid? Cause the stock tranny on my car blew, and they took the car to a performance shop, and couldnt get a stock replacement for those parts, so they had to use what was in the shop. I was kinda skeptical that they gave me a better tranny at first, but when i took the car to a tranny shop to have em diagnose my fuel pump problem, they mentioned that it was shifting harder and much more "solid" than a stock tranny would. They even asked if i had any work done toit, to which i replied "the dealer had to put in a whole new one, and i noticed the shifts being muchbetter than the cars original tranny. Enough where it can break traction on the shift to second, and once in a while, third."

I wanna investigate this further to be sure, so im bringin the mech's the invoice of the tranny work, and im callin the performance shop and asking em if they remember what kinda parts they used in the tranny.

its the same thing as a shift kit it sounds like. line pressure just got bumped up. i would not my any means call that a built tranny. unless you have all new clutches (stronger ones) and steels and bands and splines are bigger and rods are beefier(made of billet would be tight) and the weak links taken out, then i would consider it built. but it not just seems like they set you up for failure down the road

with the increase pressure, a tranny cooler would be a fantastic idea. more pressure means more heat. and we all know heat is the #1 enemy of a transmission. summit racing has them for under 60 bucks
