Default Block decision?

What block to run, that is the question. I know the teksid is bad azz but I am not going to drop nearly 700 on a block. If anyone knows where i can get a fresh one for cheaper post it up on here. How much will the iron block hold anyways? The gt crank is only good for 400 or so to the wheels dependably right?

Looking to make......hmmmm........800000000.....well actually around 800000000000000000 with a standard deviation of around .0001+-. Going to make...humm......600 on nitrous for now...maybe more with a turbo in the future?

OK.... that is 600 at the motor....and on the highest possible shot i would go. what head gasket would I have to run with a two stage setup going for around a 200 or 225 total shot. Likely around the 550 mark, but shouldn't that shot make huge torque....will the block be affected by the torque or not?

The block can handle 1000hp+
The stock GT crank is good for 500+hp if the rpm's are not spun too high
Ford MLS gaskets are very good or Fel Pro MLS are also good.

I know that I can go buy a shortblock for the 3k price range....I just want to build it from the ground up. I got manley h beams for around 300 dollars, and I can usually find some good prices on components, plus this way I did it myself...most people can't say that. The tune is now where I am worried. This motor will be going in a 1996 Gt, and won't have one non-pi component on it...what am I gonna have to do to get it to start and run. The tuning will be handled by sct or something similar, but how do I get the wires to all hook in and power to the injectors? Will a newer PI computer do the trick, I just want to keep my gear driven speedo with the tranny I have.
