Default Engine will not sustain an idle

Kind of an unusual/intermittent problem ive got. I have an 01 Bullitt and this started a couple of weeks ago. Occasionally when I start the engine it will jump to 1000 like normal, then just die. Also, when I push in the clutch (like approaching a stop sign) the RPM will just fall like a rock to like 200-300 rpm. Most of the time it will recover and go back to the normal idle, but sometimes it will just die on me. Which begins another problem, stoping without the brake booster. Im all out of ideas so if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Take it off and clean it with carb/fuel injector cleaner.
