Also ..those little 4.6 are pretty tough little motors......except when you cross the 400RWHP mark...rods sometimes tend to break....
true i bought it with 104 it has 125K now i had minor probs when i bought it but i dog it everyday and it still runs good...... TOB going bad now that's about it.... but i just bought a 98 protege 33 MPG... so i won't be putting to many miles on the stang

that trickflow won't add much either.....haha

I'm quickly finding out that it costs to go fast......if it were me, I'd wait till I had money for a cam stage 1 or stage 2.....get some real power...but it's your car

i agree whats that saying YOu can always tell the men from the boys by the price of there toys...

haha but won't a cam at 125K mess with compression and cause it to eventually blow?

almost ANYTHING can THEORETICALLY cause your car to blow.....haha

But Ford made a lil tough lil engine with the 2v 4.6

a cam wouldn't hurt it....if your motor did blow, in a rebuild, they'd replace your cam anyways

Add some aftermarket heads, cam and intake....and the top end of your motor has 000000 miles on it then haha

I've heard that the Accufab is indeed worth it.....but my opinion is that a t/b and p won't even come into effect until you have a S/C.....that's where they get their hp figures from

It's a tough call to make! With the mods I have below, I went to LRS (50resto) the other day and threw around a few questions about my car (102k miles). It's all pretty much hwy and the motor is still strong. Had a compression test done and everything checked out. I'm going to sure-up my *** end by replacing the control arms and that's it until income tax time rolls around again. Then it's going to get a really nice Kenne Bell for being such a good pony. High miles are really not an excuse not to s/c your car. If you put those miles on the car and you know that the motor is in good shap, BOOST!
