Default Removing cats

Just wondering does it benefit in any way, to remove the cats. I am unsure what I have but was told that I have some kind of flowmasters, and that my cats are still there. Then someone couldn't belive I still had my cats. So I was just wondering would I beneift at all from removing them?

If say you replace your stock midpipe with an off road X or H pipe then correct me if i'm wrong but it makes your car louder, a little less gas efficient, and gives you a bit more power.

The cats themselves have very little impact on engine power. Some, but not much

2-3 hp difference, if you livein a state with inspections its really not worth it

It adds a bit of gas milage not much, If your cats are even slightly plugged it will help alot, I took mine off and the difference is insane, nice and loud too. I took 4 off and cleaned two out so it looks legal. I still get inspected, but I work in a shop and inspect myself so its all good. lol

Think about it logicly, if you take off your cats your exhaust can go through the pipes much easier without all those cats, it will be louder obviously so id say its worth it.

Now if you live in a state that you do smog checks for inspection just keep your cats and put em back on before inspection. or put some high flows on

High flow cats are much more efficient than stock..but stock cats are restrictive..period....just like the stock exhaust...No cats ,will net more H.p....just dont look for a bunch...
