Default getting long tubes

im getting some LT's and i wanted to know if there is any precautions i need to worry about before installing tham. ive heard of people cooking their starters, and exhaust leaks etc. what all do i need to make sure it gets done right? also what do you guys recommend? bbk, slp, kooks??? im thinking bbk, they seem like a good bargin, but ive been reading about people having to mess with the weldings on the pipes? whats that about?

one thing i read recently, some guy reused his seals from the stock exhaust. MAKE SURE you use NEW gaskets to where the headers come to the exhaust. Make sure all the old material is off of you might get a leak.

I have Mac LT's and i'm very satisfied. No complaints here. Be aware that with some of those headers, you're paying for the name. Mac & BBK will perform just as well as the $$$$$$ ones
