Default Removing Catalytic Converters ????

I have a 98 GT 4.6 mustang with 2 chamber flows, but still has Catalytic Converters on it. I want to cut them off. Will this help my performance. The car has 6 Catalytic Converters on it and then my 2 chamber flows. i was thinking it would give me a little more power. I know it may cause my cjeck engine light to come on. Is there any other down side to this. Are the any other positive aspects of removing them? Please help!

You may get about 4 hp out of removing them. Good luck finding a shop to cut them out, its a $10,000 fine for them if they get cought.

+1 It's gonna be really hard to find someone to cut them out. The hp difference won't be that much either but the sound difference is worth getting them off. For the price of cutting 6 converters out and replacing them with pipe you could almost buy an o/r h pipe so I would just buy one.
