Default why me, why on Christmas?

i have no idea what is wrong with my car!!!!! i went to start it today and as soon as it clicked over the car died. i tried several times to start the car and each time it started and each time it proceeded to died. the only way that i could keepmy car running was to rev the engine, as soon as i lifted off the gas, the car died. what is wrong with my car???

Check the IAC and the MAM or the mass airflow sensor.

had this problem once, did everything to try and fix it... the problem was discovered at my battery terminals. they were dirty, spent 3 dollars on a new clamp terminal, problem solved.

Sounds like the IAC...happened to my car a while back and it had the same symptons you are describing

i believe u can take iac off and clean with carb cleaner

Well someone here has a pic of the IAC to show you what to do. To check the MAM make sure its standing up right and all the bolts are tight. The MAS needs to be checked for water. I took mine off the MAM and shook it when I had an idle problem and it had a ton of water in it. I took a blowdryer to it for about 15 minutes and all worked well afterwards. To clean the IAC just take it off and rub it down with carb cleaner.

i went to Napa and bought a new IAC along with a new fuel filter and the car is running better than ever. thanks guys
