Its all kindaa matter of personal opinoin, but if you do end up going with a centri if you have all the basic handtools and some (but not alot) of mechanical experence you should be able to do the job yourself. I did mine in the garage over the period of a few days. It doesn't take THAT long, but I took my time and installed parts as they arrived from UPS.

Shop wise, it shouldn't take a couple of people with experence say more than 8 hours to get the install done, maybe a little less. There are alot of little things you have to do, but once you do it one time its much easyer.

Use a shop that has experience with the installation AND a dyno to tune the new combination.

They just taking so long so they an charge you extra for labor costs. I bet they would only put in 6-8 hours of actual work.

Go to just about any performance shop and they will probably charge you 14-15 hours. They charge flat rate what the book tells them it will take regardless of how long it actually takes. For instance gears are according to the book 5 hours. I have watched the guys at my shop do a diff + gears in less than an hour.
