Default Carbuater Knowledge

I was gonna ask the boys over in the 5.0 section but I feel like an outsider over there... lol But simple question. Are blowers for carbuerated motors the ones that Stick out of the hood and got that big *** throttle body with three holes? I'm I thinking of the right thing?

Also is it better to get a Carb motor blown, or sprayed? I know someone said tuning is a whole lot easier on the carb motors then our Fuel Injected.... Anyone have any knowledge on this?

Yes and no. It's just a swin screw/roots blower for a carbed car that sticks out of the hood... carb'd cars can have centris too. You can just as easily fit a giant roots to your 4.6

Search google for Prorauder. He took a Maurader and put at 6-71 blower on it. It is a roots style so it's not as efficient as a screw but when it sticks out of the hood spinning the giant cog belt...who cares.

I like carbs. My friend is building a truck and has a 4 barrel on his engine. I didn't realize that only two barrels open up until about 75%-80% throttle.

they are the air ways that fix the fuel with air. Has anyone seen the edelbrock manifold for the 4.6 that makes it a carb setup? thoughts?

You said your what hurts????

The blowers you are thinking of are generally for Carbuerated motors because they are normally for Big Block's. I don't think there were too many Big Blocks that are fuel injected so...
