I'm actually debating swapping my lmII mufflers for the lmI's. The LMII's are great sounding mufflers, but curiousity is really getting the better of me.. I'm interested to hear if the slp catted x and lmI's will be a good setup, since the lmII's and catted x sound great when I'm on the go pedal and sounds quieter than some 05+ v6's at idle.

is it true that the SLP LM's have a deeper tone to them???
from what ive heard LM1's are best complimented by an X pipe and LM2's are best complimented by an H pipe. just what ive heard about the slp's lm1 = nascar sound and lm2 = more of a muscle car sound
If anything the LM'2 sound way better with an x-pipe. H pipe just really does nothing for the LM if you ask me.
my buddy has lm2's and an o/r h and i love the sound of it, not as good as my setup but sounds pretty good. its all opinion though, i hate the raspy a*s nascar sound.

yea i just hate the idle sometimes. But they really do wake up once you start going. Even with an aftermarket H they still are not much deeper. Im going to be installing an X-pipe off a Saleen i got for free soon. I've heard a lot with the X and i cant wait to get mine on.

I think any of the mufflers in question here *LM I's, LM II's, we also mentioned 'Packs and Stingers* will get a little bit of rasp/whipping sound with an o/r midpipe, *especially an H*

I have stingers and at wot only, every now and then there is a rasp/whipping sound from about 2800-4K or so...

its not overbearing though, and doenst detract from the sound at all in my opinion..

but to expect a straight through muffler with NO cats to not rasp at all is kind of dilusional.
