Default Front spring Isolator quistion

I have the Eibach Pro-Kit and I want my front springs to be lower... I have had people tell me to take out the Isolaters... Can anybody help me out with what these are? what they look like? pictures? any information will help me out... Thanks

They're the rubber sleeves that go on the top and bottom of the spring. Can't miss 'em.

i did and its fine, just added another 1/8" - 1/4" of drop. im gonna do it to the rear too next time i have it apart

The rubber will compress over time. IMHO, I wouldn't remove them due to the transfer of noise and vibration to a vehicle. But that is my opinion.

i switched my isolators to MM urethane units and the car rides great with C springs and Tokicos, and it's silent.

There's also the possibiliy of the metal to metal contact (spring to spring perch) causing wear that would not normally occur--and in this case the non-replaceable part (the perch) is much softer than the spring...
