Default weight reduction

i have a 1999 Cobra vert and i want to do some things to reduce the weight of it. Im about to do a rear seat delete and swap out the drivers and passanger seat for something lighter. I dont want to gut the car out or anything. Im trying to keep it looking good cosmetically on the interior. What are some other thing that i can do to drop the weight?

Do they make lightweight doors for our cars? My dad put some fiberglass doors on his '72 Mustang and dropped a hundred pounds. I don't know how safe that is though....

i think you should just add power because weight dosint do a hole lot it helps but more power works better unless u r trying to save on gas

^^ +1, it takes a 100 pound reduction to gain a tenth in the 1/4. Not sure if you have them but get gears and gain quite a few tenths. then add from there

get rid of a/c and power steering if you want.... maybe even the power top stuff to make it a manual top. rear seat delete doesnt do much in a vert... maybe 10lbs.. i'd rather just take a **** rather than buy another rear seat delete... also look into something like long tubes and a o/r X pipe... they will save weight and add power at the same time.. my stock manifolds felt just as heavy or heavier than long tube headers... and the midpipe was much lighter being it didnt have cats and was shorter... also look into a coil over kit, A arms, and k member. this took a good amount of weight off my car. i would say 100-130lbs. and if you want a fiberglass hood will shave some weight and so will a driveshaft. even the 2 piece brakes can shave some... everything will work together to make the car lighter and faster....

thanks for the replies guys. I already am putting down 440whp and 470wtq, so i figured some different weight reduction things would help a little. One of the next steps for me is building the block, and i dont really have the money for that right now
