AXLE QUESTIONS

My car near the back left tire had oil and grease around it, so I took it to the shop and they said I need a new Axle, bearing and seal. Well I was going to buy some aftermarket moser 28 spline axles, but someone just now told me not to buy the mosers,and to buy the stock axle. They said that the 97 Cobra axles are stronger than the aftermarket 28 splineaxles. I'm not sure, so could someone help me out with what to do.

Really? You're live rear axle right? Did they do IRS in your year or was that not till 99?

As far as I know there is no difference in the Cobra and GT axles. Just go to a junkyard and salvage a good one until you're ready to go to a 31 spline set-up[8D]
