i have an 02 gt and im wanting to buy gears 3.73 what is it when it says 8.8 after that? what are the exact gears i need if im wanting 3.73 also that ratio is the best right if getting a supercharger. also with a gt fixed up will it be able to beat a cobra? sorry but one more how do i get my pic of my stang on here like everyone else has theres after they leave a comment and how do u customize it like some ppl have

Go with 4.10's,i got 3.73's in mine and i wish i would've went with the 4.10's...our rear end is 8.8..the stock ratio is 3.27...

8.8 is the size of the rear end. The V6 stangs have a 7.5. The stock rear axle ratio is 3.27:1 on 99-04 GT's. If you want a supercharger 3.73's are good all around. You can probably get away with 4.10's if you get a centrifugal supercharger like Vortec, Novi, ProCharger, etc... Roots type or twin screw like Kenne Bell or Whipple usually go better with 3.55 or 3.73, since the create boost lower on the powerband than a centri does. Kenne Bell recomends 3.55 gears with their twin screw.
