DO NOT USE GEARS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN INSTALLED. WHEN IT COMES TO GEARS DO NOT CHEAP OUT - BUY THEM NEW!!!!!!!

ORIGINAL: TOOT

I wanted 3.90's but might begetting used 3.73's (under 200 miles)for $80.

4.10, the diff. between 3.90 and 4.10 is too close so i'd just go for the lower gear, now 3.73 and 4.10 is another thing

There is a difference between the 3 gears (3.73, 3.90 and 4.10)... The 3.90 vs 3.73 get out of the hole much quicker, and both have decent 4th gear pull... 3.90 vs 4.10... (me and my stepbrother had equal mods with this being the difference).. he'd pull out of the hole quicker, and i caught him in 3rd, and kept pulling him in 4th. 4.10 is a useless gear imo... if you wanna go up to a 4.10, just get a 4.30... but make sure your staying N/A... there is someone on here with a blower and 4.30's and they just fly threw gears...

4.10, the diff. between 3.90 and 4.10 is too close so i'd just go for the lower gear, now 3.73 and 4.10 is another thing

You can check the teeth all you want, but that doesn't mean they are strong... You might not have any issues... but you have more opportunity to have an issue... I mean motives are what, 130 bucks? Don't be cheap when it comes to those type parts...

Let me tell you a little story. I had a friend with a foxbody with heads, cams, shortys, full bolt ons, etc and 3.73s. I used to always get him at the track by a 20th everytime (Ex. Id run a 14.50 and he'd run a 14.55, Hey thats good for 8500 ft!) Then he switched to 4.10s and ran a 14.33. Not cool but i was amazed at the difference. But then his car blew up and i made fun of him but then my car blew up too. But hey ill get him when its all said and done! Lol funny thing is his name is Ben too. Ok well. Im done. But seriously 4.10s
