Functional hood scoops on cobras?

RE: Functional hood scoops on cobras?
The hood scoop on my 2000 GT is functional. I had the standard GT hood but added a scoop from eBay. Used a Dremel to open up the fake opening in the hood. Placed a piece of fiberglass insulation (like you'd put in a wall) to catch the residue coming down. Engine runs cool even when the car is driven slow in the Memorial Day parade.

Just like everybody else said just drill it out with a dremel tool or whatever. I have mine on my GT functional. No issues with water, steam or anything. Since I put the HPS hardballr intake on though I know it forces more air into the engine bay and cools it because all the heat that the metal intake puts out blows right into the cabin. It can cook the toes if your not careful

there is no gain from doing this. i will not give enough air to cool the engine. it is not going to give more air for the intake either. it will only ruin your hood, but it is your car
