Get rid of the factory clutch quadrant and adjuster. I had the slop and upgraded to both UPR pieces. Car shift like it is supposed to now. Factory crap isn't worth a hoot.

BuzzCut,Which UPR adjuster did you get, the "double-lock" or "quick-click"?

My 02 is still under warranty so im going to take it in and try to find out whats up. I have a 97 GT and it doesnt do that at all. When i shift everything is smooth.. i dont hear a "hit" from the driveshaft/rear end area at all. It sucks that my 97 drives so smooth, yet my 02 has that issue. If i release cluth super slow the issue is not that noticeable.. but either way i dont think it should be that way.

Quick click extreme and the single hook quadrant.

Just came back from the mechanic. He said that noise im hearing is due to too much play on the pinon. He said i need to get new gears, once i get new gears all should be good. He was moving the pinon/drive shft and it was pretty damn loose.. and it sounded exacly like what i was hearing when i shift. So i guess its time for some 373's.

I was thinking of 3.73s but i also heard 3.90's are great... If i get 3.73's am i going to see a noticeable decrease in mpg ? Either way i need to get some gears so now i have to figure out which ones to get.

If you worry about MPG buy a honda. If you want performance who cares? Get 4.10s you won't be sorry you did.
