Default procharger question

i herd from someone that the bypass valve that comes with the procharger is plastic and you loose power from them, is this true at all? anyone change theres to something different?

the bypass valve that comes with the blower works very well. I wouldn't touch it. I don't understand why would you lose power from them. All it does is push out the unused air.

i read it on some forum a while ago and its just been going through my head figured id ask, they said they upgraded to a trex one or something
