Default aluminum driveshaft

is it hard to isntall a for racing aluminum driveshaft on my own.... it already comes balanced i belive so i wont need to do that... i think you just bolt it in and go.... but is it hard to bolt it in... do i have to remove any parts of my exhaust or anything like that?

Well, ur going to have to drop you mid pipe then its only for bolts holding it to the diff, and itll slide right out.

what r the benifits of an aluminum drive shaft besides making ur car lighter & is it worth getting?

well i think imgonna be getting 410 rear end gears and i hear when u use more than 373 it will cause vibrations so i guess ill just spend an extra couple hundred for no vibrations and maybe a smoother accel.

i guess i didnt answer the quyestion too well... the only real benefits of an aluminum dirveshaft, from what i understand, are that u will get rid of vibrations(if u even have them to begin with) and there is less rotational mass so it may accelerate smoother than it did before... other than that i guess its pretty worthless... if i werent getting 410s i wouldnt get the driveshaft

GT1999 - let me know if you do notice a difference. Besides the subframe connectors, this is another cheap mod I was think about doing.

ill let u know as soon as i get it on... i might even put the aluminum drive shaft on before i do my gears because im just gonna put it on while im switching mid pipes so i dont have to take the midpipe off again later

no need to drop the midpipe, only need to remove the 4 bolts holding it to the pinion and slid the other end from the tranny.

oh awsome... so now i dont need to shell out that extra 200 bucks that i dont even have just to save some time... ill get the drive shaft with my gears in a couple months.... thanks md
