Default lens blackout paint.


has anyone tried the lens blackout paint that american muscle sells for painting head and tail lights?
if so does anyone have pics? cus its cheap and looks worth it.

Well its called Nightshade...Alot of people will tell you not to get it because its hard to get off and alot of people think it will chip off...Well if you ask me I think the stuff is great...It doesn't chip off...or fade...The biggest pro about it is you dont have to worry about you taillight covers being stolen cause they cant for obvious reasons...This has about 4 coats on it...I will take some new pics soon because in this pic they arn't cleared but currently they do have clearcoat...Hope this helps!

Yeah...I have been looking around on this site because I have been trying to sell my Camaro...I work for a Ford dealership so I get crap for it everyday...No problem

After spraying on many coats oftintit is a good idea to put on a couple coats of clear. This will keep the chipping from happening as easily.

Hey not to steal the thread but i sprayed my tails and heads this weekend and theyre still dull, how do i get the shine? I sanded and hit it with polish but it still won't shine.

did you put on a few coats of clear? if not you need to buy clear coat from the autoparts store and spray the lens...if you don't it will stay dull and chip and fade alot faster

yep, i put on 2 coats and let it dry. even the clear coat came out looking dull, so i used 2000grit sand paper to smooth it out and hit it with some plastic polish...it looks a little better but still dull.
