Exhaust choice, Magnaflow, Borla, SLP
My catback is getting tired, I whacked one of my flowmasters on a rock, and now it's giving me a buzzing noise when hot. I have a SLP catted "X" pipe. I was considering going for the loudmouth cat-back, but do not want a ton of noise (enough to attract LEO'S), will I be OK with this setup? I like the fact that the loudmouth is a glasspack, and offers better ground clearance than a chambered muffler (I LIVE ON A DIRT ROAD). I don't want to give up the deep tome of the flows, and of course, no raspiness. I've seen the setup on E-bay for $417. free shipping, sound OK?I'm going to the FORD nationals in Carlisl, PA, this weekend, to look for deals, any other suggestions?

No the exhaust question has been asked a thousand times. Everyone is going to give their own opinion but the best way is to go to youtube or streetfire.net or mustangexhasut.com and listen for yourself. I have SLP Loudmouth 1's and i absolutely love the way they sound and they don't scrape like my flows used to. But you have to do a little research on your own to find what works for yoou.

If you are worried about making too much noise just get the lm2s. But if you do go with the lm1s and they are too loud for you, you can just order the resonators from the lm2 system and swap them out without having to order a new system and without any welding. Gotta love the modular system.

flowmaster 10's (single chamber and sit higher than stock mufflers) with O/R H pipe. there your ultimate muscle car setup. if clearance is an issue and u want flowmaster, its the 10's (which are also the loudest) but the SLP LM choices are good as well.

I have SLP and I think that they would be good for you. They are tucked under there pretty good and if you want you can make them sound sooo quiet, almost like stock then if you want people to hear you just bring it up a little. That is what I do and then ifyou see a cop you can just drop itin a lower gearand they wouldn't even look twice. BTW I have the LM2's with and o/r H so yours would probably even be queiter but not quiet at all compared to you flows now. It's gonna be loud if you go with SLP but they are so versitle.
