I know this isn't why you posted but I think my throwout bearing is going, or gone out. How did you know yours went out, was it squeeling ? Did your clutch feel rough, as in pedal feel ? I would appreciate any info. as I'm about too pull the tranny in my ride. As far as your car goes the only thing I could think of is that your clutch might not be alighned right.
Thanks,

Wow, 4 to 6 throwout bearings ? Was it just bad bearings ? I'm hopin a throwout bearing is what my problem is. I've got a slight vibration when taking off from a stop as well. Thought it could be motor or tranny mounts at first so maybe neglecting to replace either of those has caused my throwout bearing too go out. Think it's possible ?

Did you have a shop do it? If so take it back immediately and tell them to fix it. It sounds like the throwout bearing again.

If your tranny mount is bad the shifter handle will move towards the passenger side of the car when accelerating. It could just be that they forgot to loc-tite the trans to bellhousing bolts and they backed out. Take it back to the shop, you paid someone to do it right, now make them do it right. And if they *** it up again keep taking it back until they do.

PS: Make them get you a rental car for your inconvenience.[8D]

RE: noise after clutch job?
i wish i had a shop do it... my uncle recommended me his good friend... (my uncle goes to him to fix anything wrong with his truck) but anyways i took it to him and at first everything was fine and i was amazed i got such a good deal on it and everything was fine ran normal clutch made some noise but i believe thats normal with a king kobra or am i wrong. but he quoted me 350 for the kit and everything... but after 3 weeks it started to make the noise again. i called him back and he said that he did a good job and he isnt gonna replace it so now im kicking myself in the a$$ for not going to a shop to do it. ill try and get a video up in the next couple of days.
