I know... I know...
This is suppose to be in Suspension, but no one ever goes there so I thought I would let you guys know what I did that REALLY helped me out.
A while back I lowered my car 1.5" in the front and 1.6" in the rear and left the stock shocks on it. Well every time I would go over a speed bump or hit a dip or bump in the road you could REALLY feel it in the rear. So I took some advice and bought some Fox body GT shocks. They're Monroe Sensa-Trac and they're great. Not only does the car ride just as good or better than stock but the rear now squats better on take-off's allowing for MUCH better traction. I cant wait till next Friday to see how they react at the track.

Its just another lowering spring company. I think they cater mainly to ricers but the guy who put them on said they are great and I will have to agree. It rides just like a stocker but handles and grabs SOOO much better.

RE: I know... I know...
fox shocks / struts are best for lowered newer GT's. Fox's are identical to the sn95+ shocks / struts other than being about an inch shorter - making them perfect for a lowered newer stang because they can operate in their designed range.
not only that, you won't be bottoming out your stock stuff every time you hit a bump and busting them. thats why stock shocks / struts don't last long on a lowered car.

heres what i'm going with, talked to the guys on www.svtperformance.com. so it's these right here, http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...&partNum=51659 AND the ones at the bottom on this page here with model # 51659 http://www.maximummotorsports.com/HRsprings.asp . they're 20 bucks cheaper on the www.tirerack.com site so if this is correct i'll go ahead and order these, and then from http://www.maximummotorsports.com/isolators.asp i'll get the urethane spring isolators which are needed to replace the stock ones for better use with the lowering springs.
