P-51 intake

Yeah i know i know there is a thread about this every 5 min but you guys think id be worth it in my application? Im building an n/a beast and Mitch said that the P-51 is best on N/A or N20 applications. The 5.4 gulps the air and i wonder, even with the typhoon manifold, if im really going to be able to feed it at this altitude. . . . Is it worth the investment? Will it give me that much more power than the typhoon?

I say get it dyno'd with the typhoon then buy a p-51 and let us know how big of gains you get[8D].

i have been told the tyhpoon doesnt do much more than stock if any...

i also have a question for the P-51... does it fit under a strut tower brace?

ah from looking at it i kind of doubt that it will fit under, but i think if you already have the typhoon keep it, dyno your power now, after you build your motor up dyno it again, and if you see significant gains, keep it, if not it's up to you whether or not to buy a P-51, but i'm sure there will be someone who would take that typhoon off your hands if you decided to switch

I think the advantage comes with F/I and the ability to P&P it. Can't do that with the plastic one;)

The P51 will do nothing to very little with loss down low with turbo or S/C. They are better suited for a N/A or N2O because of the long runners.

Speed ship in Cincinnati recently told me that the Typhoon is not any better than stock. They said P51 without a doubt.

But what about my original question Mitch? Being someone with that type of experience what do you think?

For N/A and nitrous, you will LOVE the P51.
