Dies @ Startup : IAC Again?
 

Every now and then, perhaps once a month the car will die after starting it where the rpms climb initially, but then just plumet and the car does.

Tonight after work however, it would'nt stay running. I tried maybe 9-10 times, went back into work, got something to drink, came back out, and it started up on the first try.

I've had the IAC issues before, so I took it apart and cleaned the spring with WD 40 and it's not had a real issue in over a year now until today.

My question is, aside from the IAC *which is most likely is* what else could it be?

Again, the rpms rise up where they should, the car starts fine, but then just died much like before.

And is there a better fix than cleaning it out, OTHER THAN having to buy a new one?
