4.6 swap
<FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I am swapping a 4.6 into a older mustang, got two problems though, cant find a donor car in between 89 and 95. I want to do the 4cyl to V-8 but its a lot more bulls**t work, so I am considering any 6 to 8. Any tips?</FONT>

4.6 swap
for ex the alternator and brake lines are on the opposite side of a four and eight, but on the six they are not. I want the 4.6 bc its newer and more reliable then a 5.0 with a 100 grand on it, ya i own two mustangs i know what engines are in which years <IMG src=smileys/smiley32.gif border="0"></P>

<FONT face=Arial>Nah they don't have 4.6's </FONT></P>ya i know that they dont originaly come in these cars but, why cant they, I can get a 4.6 that is both reliable and fast bc its a new engine. If i were to get a 5.0 swap it would be with 100,000 miles on it. If there is a particular reason that it is harder, let me in on the secret.

<FONT face=Arial>From what im reading here, you wanted a 4.6 from a 89-95. The fact is that you most likely wont find one, because they didnt come with 4.6's. Unless someone did a previous engine swap. What you'll probably find in a 89-95 is a 5.0.</FONT></P>

4.6 swap
I guess i didnt ask my question clear and i apologize , what i want to do is put a complete drop out of a 99 GT into a older light mustang 89-93 preferably. From what i have read there is no problem with doing it... but is there? The reason for a swap is insurance, i am only 18 and i have a 2000 mustang now that is killing me, www.stangparts.com has 4.6 dropouts for $3500 with 20-60 thousand miles on it and 5.0 dropouts for $2500 with at least a 100 thousand on them. <edited><editID>Ryan4-6-8</editID><editDate>37866.874849537</editDate></edited>
