You dont have to do after market K member and A arms if you don't want to. Coil overs just delete the coil spring and replace it with a spring around the struts and shocks. You will need 4 bolt cc plates for more support.

It will hurt you drag racing if you are to low but with coilovers you can raise the front end and be good to race.

Strange coilovers with strange adjustable shocks and struts. Shouldn't be very expensive at all. Thats what I'm going for.

i had a nice talk with steeda and MM about suspension... a full coil over kit will cost you close to 4K after everything is said and done. steeda doesnt recommend it at all with 5 link and said best combo for that would be comp springs w/ tokico D spec shocks.
MM said if you do coil overs on the front you only see a benifit if you upgrade K member and their full coil over kit for 99-04 cost around 4K, its basically reconfiguring your entire cars geometry like going from windows 98 to vista.
if youve got the money to spend then go for it, if your just drag racing and its a some what daily driven car pass on coil overs and go with strange adjustable w/ whatever springs you want (stiffer for track, lighter for drag) and adjust shocks accordling.
