what do steeda ball joints do? are they worth it?

with already lowered cars they put the front end geometry back to how it was as if it were stock. basically it makes the car respond better to the car being lowered. i have them on mine and the car really feels good when i corner hard...etc.

Just like he said. The X2 ball joints lower the center point to match the rest of the lowered car.

Sorry kinda off topic while on topic, but if I lower my car and get new steering rack bushings, I'm assuming I should go with offset?

Yes. Actually if your interested in knowing more about the ins and outs I would recommend Sean Hylands book on performance mustangs. It is really good information and an interesting read. He does a good job of separating "Do this because it looks nice only, it will not improve and probably deteriorate performance" and "Do this if you want better performance regarless of how it looks".

He has a few books, the one i am reading at the mo is:
High-performance Mustang builder's guide 1994-2004 /, Hyland, Sean.
