Default 95 Crown Vic 4.6 engine in a mustang?

I have tried to find out everywhere if this would work. I own a 95 mustang v6 and a 95 crown victoria. The mustang's got a rod knocking in the engine and I expect it to blow any time. My crown victoria has a 4.6 liter v8 engine in it but I'm not sure if it would work in the 95 mustang. (The crown vic's body is junk)

Would the swap work? Would a mustang transmission fit with the engine? What about the wiring harness and computer? Would I be able to use the stuff out of the crown victoria? What mustang parts could I use with the engine?

And buying another car isn't an option. There is a mustang graveyard nearby and they seem to have everything except engines, so the parts would be easy to come by.

Help me out please.

Nevermind,i thought you said '96 GT for some reason. You'll need the motor mounts, different bellhousing for the tranny if it's a T-5,4r70w should bolt up easily. you'll need the wiring harness, throttle cable,a/c lines, yadda yadda yadda.

the 4.6 started in crown vics i believe in '92. it was more of a luxury motor im guessing that took place of the 5.0 mustang motor due to emissions in '96.
