How often should you change transmission fluid?

Default How often should you change transmission fluid?
I recently purchased on 02' gt with 57000miles and I'm wondering just when does the tranny fluid need to be changed in these bad boys??

ughhh... no. I'm not sure of the exact mileage but its alot more than 3k

i did my tranny fluid at 45k. diff will be done at 50k when gears are installed. I do put the cheapest full synthetic in the motor (2 for 1 at advanced auto) but everything else is royal purple.

hey, i have a 07 gt mustang. i was just wondering which transmission fluid i should go with? i heard royal purple does wonders...

Read your owners manual, it will tell you exactly what it takes. Not being a dick, just don't want you getting the wrong info.

This is way wrong, a matter of fact ford now recommends 8.8 diffs filled with the recommended synthetic fluid are lubricated for life, only time its changed is when the rear needs to be repaired.
