Hey all,

Has anyone here put a shortblock in? Is it worth it to just get a long block? I'd like to get a MMR motor, with a KB (this is my long term goal with this car, I'll also be doing full exhaust). What else would I need to reach 600 HP? I plan on getting the upgraded forged crank shaft. What would I need to do to the rear end so I wouldn't blow it out? Any thing else?

With a long block and a kb you could be at 700+ hp but you would need a ton of suspension mods to get it to hook at all. For the rear you can get 31 or 33 spline axles. 33 if you plan on a bunch of power but 31 will hold up fine with a decent amount of power. YOu will also need a new diff of your choice. If you have the money I would definetly get a longblock.

Will my tranny be fine? Yea, I'll also be doing suspension & tire/wheel mods too, but will start with the motor & blower.
