Default PI head swap!

Ok, so I have my heads and intake here in my room. I can't stand waiting to save the money to have a shop install them. I'm going to ask a buddy to help me do the install[:-] My question is what so I need for this install. I know I will need gaskets, head bolts, plugs, oil & filter......uh what else???

Cool, looks like the bolt/gasket kit is all that I'll need. Thanks.

How much did you pay for your new heads/intake? Are they the stock 99+ parts???

I paid about 600 for the heads and intake. They are from a 2000 GT with 18k miles...got them off e-bay.

The stock cams are included, but aftermarket cams would be best. I don't want to do the cams until I rebuild the engine. They say like 60hp at the crank, which is like 40+ rwhp. Those gains are for a stock car.....they may be more if you're modded.

i hope that you know what you are doing b/c you dont just swap the heads its a pretty detailed job, hopefully it works out. and ive heard that if you do the PI swap that you will get around 60hp to the wheels not the crank. and i would go ahead and change your cams out now while you are in the engine, if you do the swap and the cams then you will be makin some serious power....

Your going to need a new heater hose, the dipstick is a pain in the ***! Depending on wether you have the windsor or romeo heads you might need diff size bolts. the job really isnt that hard, i did it basically by myself in 20hours of added work throughout a week.
