you also have 18s which slow you down a little.....When I first started going to the track I used to stress at my bad times, but I got used to it now and I run much better..

Which would you rather sacrifice 2 mph in the 1/4 or your power top? lol

There is alot more science to this than meets the eye. Could have to do with where exactally your power is coming on and when...etc.... You beating my recent 14.47 but I went 97.xx MPH on that run and beat your 96 even though you were faster overall.

Hell no. Verts are maybe 150 pounds heavier, not enough of a difference to notice jack ****.

Actually the verts will be about a 1/10 slower because of the weight but maybe a little less then a tenth but enought to where I would notice. Also what are you shifting at? You should shift about 5200-5300. First time at the track for me I shifted at 5800 then I shifted at 5200 and gained 2mph in my E.T

You will not ****ing notice in the seat of the pants or anything at all the difference. Like said before, there are too many variables that can offset that smidgen of extra weight.

Like you said though about the shifting points, its good to shift right at or just after peak power, which for a stock 2V Mod motor, slides right at 5100.

Yeah you are right about not feeling it in the seat of your pants. I must of misunderstood you. What I was talking about though was you realizing your slower ETon your slip.

That makes sense that the extra weight would cost a tenth, but...its just a tenth, and that can be outshadowed by other factors such as the motor's condition, amount of gas in the gas tank, tire pressures all around the car, weight of the driver, wind speed, temperature, elevation, driver's skill, etc.
