Urgent help needed what is wrong with my car.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR

my 03 GT with P&P heads, VT stage 2 cams, 3 angle valve job, msd individual coils, BBK LT's x pipe and magna packs and BBK cold air and 3.73 gears
bold is the new stuff (just done)
with these mods my baseline was 265/290 which IMO is really low to begin with, then after several hours of tuning (a great tuner using sct hardware) - 271/294 - extremely disapointing.
Put a accufab plenum and throttle body on there that the tuner had laying around just to see and a JLT intake tube and HUGE air filter -
278 HP 305 TQ
Whats going on here guys? Somethings gotta be off. Does anyone have any ideas??? The torque curve seemed acceptable, but hp was dropping off pretty early.
In addition, after the tuning I went for a drive - only to come back to find my rear breaks glowing red, and billowing smoke????? What gives....ebrake wasnt activated......we didnt notice any wierd smells, noises, or see the brakes doing anything wierd on the dyno. Okay, let's start with the brakes. Sounds like there is an issue with the e-brake sticking. You'll need to take care of that first. Chances are good that your rear disks are glazed and shot. Have a pro take a look. If your brakes were sticking/draggin on the dyno, then that would explain your low numbers. You should be seeing 285+ on rwhp. Fix the brakes and go back to the dyno. Explain to the shop what happend and ask them for a free run on the machine.

but wouldnt we have noticed the brakes if they were doing anything on the dyno IE smelled them, saw smoke/glowing red, or at the very least heard them. could the ebrake of been reinstalled wrong allowing it to bedepressed evenwhen its really not?

I believe you would have noticed the problem on the dyno w/the ebrake, especially since the light indicator should be on if its installed properly. However as mentioned, you should get this fixed and verify it's not the problem. When getting your heads P&P, what size gasket did you use, were there any changes to compression made? I'm guessing you have the N/A cam's from VT?
