Before my clutch went out itstarted to squeak and vibrate(the pedal vibrated.)Try and adjust it.Just put your car infirst while parked and press the clutch then pull up on it as far as possible if it makes a noise it means it had to be adjusted.WheneverI adjust my clutch it squeaks for a little while than works great.

put it in 4th and dump the clutch at 5k and if it doesnt stall immediately then your clutch is going out.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but my clutch is going out and I've heard that it will never actually just break when youre driving down the road, but it will just keep getting worse and worse. Is this true?

Yeah it won't just blow up. It'll start slipping, then slipping some more and then more until its just burned out. My original clutch is about to bite it at 51k. I stomped on it last night and I could feel it slip a few times from 4-5k. Under normal driving its fine so I got a least a little time before I have to replace it. This time I'm getting a Spec Stage I and I hope I won't have to replace it for another 70-90k, pretty much the last clutch to go in it.

if it chatters when you're starting off and you smell something like burning plastic after you park, your clutch is probably on it's last legs.
sometimes they gradually get worse and sometimes they just break, you can ask ceekay
