Default Pro-Flow MAF. What Is This Thing?

I'm rebuilding the 2v engine in a 2001 GT I bought. It is s/c'd and has 42 lb. injectors. The MAF is Professional Flow Technologies (also says Pro Flow). It is all plastic body, not metal, and is attached to a conical K&N filter (made that way). The model number is either "80 A" or "80 R"........can't tell which. The inside diameter of the flow body is 84.5mm. Can anybody help me with this? ALSO. Where are these people??? Every Google I do comes up with disconnected phonenumbers. Who handles these things now for re-calibrations?Thanks.

With the 42#'s, just get a Lightning 90mm.

That's why I'm trying to find them or whoever does their distribution/service. The literature searches show them to be one of the better aftermarket MAF's.

OK. I'm anwering my own question in case someone else wants to know. Pro-M is now Professional Mass Air Systems (PMAS). They bought out Pro-M in 2005. They continued to build some MAFs on the Pro-M platform and then changed designs. Hopefully, they still recalibrate the Pro-M models.

There is no such thing as "calibrating" a MAF. The only mafs that can be "calibrated" are the style like C&L that have a collection tube that can be swapped out, so you fake out the MAF to read a lower setting at the same airflow, and then adjust the ECU accordingly. All this does is make sure you don't peg the maf.

+1 on the lighting maf, you can get one cheap and they will support anything you can throw at a stock shortblock (or 42 pound/hr equipped car) and have it live.

You answered your own question...but yeah Pro Flow is the old Pro M which used to be a really good company and had some of the better MAF's on the market. They don't have quite the great reputation after switching to the new owners etc...I would try to sell it and step up to a SCT 2400

I don't see supercharger in your mod list so you don't need anything.

The reason everyone suggests the 90mmLMAF is its cheap and easy to use/tune and works great up to about the 500rwhp range with no issues. After that i would switch to one of the SCT MAF's.
Maybe the person you were talking to was a Diablo dealer and wanted to sell their products or that is what they are familiar with.

No fear, Poppy, I have the exact same MAF on my car, and I bought it with it already installed just like yours. Already went on a hunt to find out what the crap the company was.
