Well I have the 4.10's currently and I wouldnt mind trying 4.30's now that I have a feel for the 4.10's. I dont think you should worry to much at all if you go with 4.30's. My gas milage has changed but by such a slim margin that its barely noticable. Either is a good gear.

yea gas mileage i learned won't be a issue. someone told me that the 4.30s would be more stressful on the engine tho? fact or fiction?

Actually you are allowing the engine to work less. By turning the rear faster the engine doesnt have to whind up as much to get the desired speed... unless you are like me and see the redline three or four times every drive. LOL

lol so basically 4.30s would be better for the engine than 4.10s? 4.30s arent going to be "harmful" to the car in the long run right, i mean unless i go on some long *** road trip or something.

and what part (if any) will this void in my warranty? i know that every dealership is different just wanna see some opinions.

In the long run your parts will wear faster because everything is turning at a higher RPM... but the stress of the get up and go is relieved a little.

Well if you have dicks at your dealer then it will void the drivetrain warranty. Call Ford and ask if they will install them for you. My dealer will do it so that it wont void the warranty but the guy there said they are MUCH more pricey and it would be better to have it done else where because they wont void it anyways.

ic, i'll give em a ring tomorrow. i just ordered my exhaust parts today and am veeery excited about it!! cant wait to get those biatches installed lol. the gears are kind of a afterthought right now. i MAY not do the gears for a little while since i spend a pretty good sum of cash just on exhaust lol. i at least wanted to see what u guys thought was better, and its damn close 6-5 for 4.30s

IMO no more than 4.10's in a manual, but whatever

it seems as though the 4.10s are more proven and a safer bet than the 4.30s on this board. I only know of 2 members with the 4.30s, while there are lots with 4.10s.

Because people are so skeptical! I was too before I went to Valdosta and seen how a car reacts with 4.10's. Thats what I wanted afterwards. Look at Dan02GT... he is swapping his 4.10's for 4.30's. LOL Thats got to tell you something.
