Filling hole in intake tube

Filling hole in intake tube
The previous owner of my blower had the IAT sensor located before the blower. I am relocating to be after the blower/intercooler, so I'm going to have to fill this nasty hole they made in the intake tube. I need some ideas as to how I should fill it. I'm scared of some silicone material that might come off and get sucked into the blower over time. Any ideas?

Rubber plug, seal around the plug, maybe even some tape or hose clamp to make sure everything stays in place.
Dude, I'm looking at your sig and asking one thing: How did you get 274 RWHP with those mods? Do you have some other mods you didn't list?

Thanks guys...the pipe is metal, not plastic. Will Home Depot actually have a variety of sizes of plugs? I guess if I can't find one that fits then I'll find one that's bigger than the hole and drill it to the matching size.
There's nothing done to the car that I have not listed. Those are corrected numbers, and I dyno'd at 2 different places within 2 weeks of each other and both yielded the same numbers.
Thanks for the help fellas.
