His sig says its the 9psi kit, which is intercooled as well I assume.

Tell you what, I'll race him and if he beats me I'll never say a word abouve Vortech vs KB... if not well then...

Im sure our PEAK hp is pretty close, I may have him by 10 or 20 hp at peak, leaving me at what would appear to be a disadvantage since he probably makes 100+ more hp and tq than me at 2500 rpms. He's got both more boost and is intercooled... the same race I said I'd look foward to
Agree. Centrifugal vs KB in a 1/4 mile drag race the Centrifugal wins hands down.

How many KB do you see running in the major mustang drag racing classes?? Zero. There must be a good reason for this eh?

Joe, I never said your car was slow. Tell you what, race him from a slow roll in 2cnd starting at 1500 rpm. Yeah, your gears allow you to cheat a little. But that's what it takes with a centrifugal, short gears. If you were running a taller gear you would have a lot tougher time. My argument has always been a strip vs real world street application. On the strip your setup shines, and that was your goal in the first place. At the strip you are basicly never below 4500 rpms(except for the launch). Not the case on the street, for the most part. That's my whole point. Centrifugal blowers shine best at the track. Still, if his car had the same gears as your car, and similar suspension mods and sticky tires, its a race. I'd probably still bet on you because I'll bet you are a better driver, although I don't know him. Remember, a stock twin screwed S281E runs 11.70's with tires. The rwhp on these cars are around 400. -And these cars have Saleen suspensions, not drag. Tell you what, I'll take his car and race ya, with slicks, and I'd bet on myself.

rofl yea I'll bet a small amount on it. Now Im a betting man, but I play the odds. Normally I'd say bring your checkbook - but considering your line of work... well I'd just have to hope for the best [sm=smiley23.gif]

BTW - never said it, nice vid dude - well put together and great car to boot!

Yeah, i've burned up a few clutches launching mustangs in my time. Remeber though, I'm not anti centrifugal blowers. Heck, that's what I'm drivin now. I'll be 'stuck' driving it til the 05 comes. Does it suck going from a twin screwed car to a centrifugal? No. Are centrifugal blowers capable? Yes. Do I enjoy driving the centrifugal car? Yes. Do I enjoy driving the centrifugal car as much as the screw? No. Actually, what I miss most about not having the S281E isn't the blower, it was the 14' brakes.

I wouldn't say a huge difference, as long as the piston count in the calipers is equal. The standard Saleen brake upgrade for 04 was 13' 4 piston. The e car got 14' 6 piston brakes, and that did make a decent difference over the 13's. It really helped the feel and modulating ability with the 14's; that was the biggest difference.

Whoa!! I can drive my own car, but I appreciate the offer. MD come to down to South Florida and we can run on the street with street tires and then on the track with slicks my guess is on the street I will win and on the track you will win. Either way you definetly are a good driver I have watched videos you have posted.
