Default Fuel pressure problem?

I just installed my fuel pressure gauge, and it reads about 30 psi at idle... it increases a little under throttle... I thought it was suppose to be a bit higher, but I can't find any place that can tell me straight forward what the fuel pressure should be. What was it from the factory? What causes low fuel pressure at idle, but higher at WOT?

Fuel pressure Regulator...Alters the pressure from(low pressure)idle to WOT....(high pressure).....I'd have to check, but think its 45 to 50 psi (snap throttle)WOT
