Rear-end assemblies are heat-cycled on the assembly line before they get any where near a chassis.[/align][/align]It is not 100% absolutely essential, however it is the correct way of doing things--the wonderful thing about America is thatwe are free to do whatever sort of stupid crap we want so if someone doesn't want to do things the correct way more power to 'em...[/align]

All a break in period really is is a period of not putting the car under an insane amount of stress- allowing moving parts to come together, work out any kinks and find their groove so to speak. You dont break a leg, let it heal, and then sprint 5 miles on it, do you? You would damage the healed leg, its sorta the same thing.
