Car stalls/dies
Hello all,
I'm new to the forum but I did quite a bit of searching on the forum before actually posting. I don't think I've found a solid answer to my question yet, so I decided to go ahead and post (please excuse me if it has already been addressed and I just couldn't find it).
I have a 2000 GT 5 speed. It has died 3 times over the past couple of days. Twice I was slowing down, and once I was at a complete stop. It didn't sputter, and is running fine, it just shuts off like the key was turned off. It will start right back up without any hesitation. Also, it doesn't seem to be electrical because the radio keeps going. It also seems to happen in higher temps outside.
I did have a similar issue previously, and I found a disconnected vacuum line. I checked those and they all seem to be good. Also, when it was the vacuum line, it was constant. Any ideass, suggestions? Thanks.

IAC... Idle Air Controller.
It's a relatively cheap part - don't clean it like many people will suggest. When they fail...they fail. Cleaning might be a temporary band-aid & in most instances it does not work.
