PI manifold on non-PI head plates

RE: PI manifold on non-PI head plates
I am looking for 50 people who are interested. I need to make 50 sets or it just does not
work out.
I made the plates as a cheap way with less work to increase HP.
if I sell plates I will setup a web site with a good step by step picture and description
on how to install them.
I will also tell you that there is no control over the quality or your workmanship.
so do not come looking for me if you do a poor installation.
air/fuel ratios should also be checked with a mod that has this big of an effect.
I do not work in any form of an auto industry.
I do have a good background in the auto field. many engine mods, rebuilds, restorations
and motorcycles. I have CAD, welding and machining skills. I have also been incorporated
and am not looking to make a business out of this. there are only a few years of cars were
this plate applies.
I am always looking for an easy was to make a little more HP, its like a sickness. the mod fever
hit me young at about 12. I am 46 now and it has not stopped.
If your interested post a reply, If there are enough I will follow through.

RE: PI manifold on non-PI head plates
Update
the car is being dyno tuned today. I will know how well the stock
computer can deal with this change. We will also see how much this puts out.
I am also getting a second quote for manufacturing. maybe I can improve the price.

RE: PI manifold on non-PI head plates
dyno tune results
car made 216 rear wheel hp
266 rear wheel torque
thats about 252hp, 311tq at the engine (stock 225hp, 285 tq).
this is through 3.90 gears which fool the dyno and can reduce numbers by 5hp.
this is very close to bone stock 2000gt numbers.
not bad for a low end cold air intake $44
pypes x pipe $265 and '99+ manifold
air/fuel ratio was rich at start approx. 11-1
now at 13-1 on 87 to 91 octane (conservative tune)
add an upper manifold & cat-back and it should be close to 270hp

RE: PI manifold on non-PI head plates
Send me a dxf file or any Cad format. I am a laser programmer and I am at work now. Maybe we can beat there price. If we used mild steel instead of aluminum it would be a fraction of that price they gave you. chris.moto@gmail.com

RE: PI manifold on non-PI head plates
thanks for the offer
I wouldn't use steel because the blending of the ports is done by hand.
steel would make this more time consuming and require more bit replacement.
If I don't make and sell the plates then I will give the file to anyone that wants it.
then they can have there own fabricated but not yet.
