You might benefit from getting a Haynes manual from AutoZone. They cost about $15.00-$18.00, always good to have around.
They'll show you step by step what you need to do. I prefer the Haynes over the Chilton's in my opinion.
Good luck though.

both of these are ok some fixes but still suck b/c they are too general. drop the extra cash and get the ford shop manual.

I'll tell ya how to do it.
Rent a brake caliper tool from autozone or what not which can be used to compress the piston back into the caliper

1). Loosen the lug nuts then Put the car on jackstands
2). Remove the wheels
3). You will see the caliper is bolted to the spindle with 2 bolts, removing them will free the caliper.
4). The pads simply lift out of the caliper.
5). Use the caliper tool to press the pistons back into the caliper (very easy), this step goes easier if you take the top off the brake fluid resevoir (some may spill out as you push the pistons back in).
6). Put some grease on the back of the pads (they sell special grease for it if you like) to keep them from squeeking, you can skip this step if you like, its not really necessary, just "traditional".
7). Re-install the reverse order.

While your bolting it back up, take note the nipple on the caliper that can be used to bleed the brakes.

Thats it. Good luck, its very easy as long as you have the caliper tool, otherwise it can be kinda a hassle to get the pistons back into the caliper.

I'll agree with 945LStang, these manuals are general. They won't help you in all areas. They are cheap, that's the main reason. I would LOVE to get a Ford Shop manual, but I think they cost about the same price as buying a 91 Civic. [:@]

I just did it this weekend and SAP's explanation of it is right on. The caliper tool is only necessary for the back pads. For the front I just useda large set of pipe pliers. Worked like a champ.

http://www.fordcds.com/

Took me about 5 days to download since I downloaded the entire 5gb+ file with ALL of the ford cars, but it's like finding treasure!

I think they've split them up for specific years and cars now, so the download will be only a few hundred mb now.
