RE: someone have a clutch install write up?
It's not that hard. More of a pain in the a$$. I don't have a write up, but I can just tell you what you have to do... More or less:
-Disconnect neg. batt terminal
- Take shifter bezel off
- Take off shifter handle
- Take the mid pipe off
- Remove starter
- Remove driveshaft
- Unbolt trans and remove
- Clutch and flywheel is just bolted on
- Make sure flywheel is resurfaced or replaced
- Might as well replace rear main while you're there
- Install goes the same way
There aren't any real tricks except for the starter. When putting it back in, you can put the top bolt in through the other way (or you can just leave it out). You'll know what I'm talking about when you're there. Replace the TOB as well. Make sure the clutch comes with the alignment tool. Don't throw it away when you're done. Save it, you'll never know when you're going to need it again. I had my trans out in less than an hour at work and it was my first time on my car. You're going to need some PB blast, long extensions, swivel sockets, a friend, good tall jack stands, and some good music and beer. Be careful not to strip any bolts or over tighten them, use torque specs, take your time, label all of the bolts and put them in bags so you don't forget where they go, and take pics along the way - it'll help with install...
If you have any particular questions, you can PM me.Good luck!
